Job overview
To work closely with the nursing, mammography, management, and medical staffing teams to ensure that any issues in clinic are raised immediately to maintain an excellent level of service to patients/clients.
Main duties of the job
1. To manage the follow up bookings of designated cancer results clinics and ensure that these are booked efficiently and that any booking issues are raised immediately with the management, nursing, and medical staffing teams to ensure patient care is not compromised.
2. The post-holder will deal with incoming calls from colleagues, patients and other services.
3. To provide a courteous and professional reception service to patients/clients and clinicians in line with office procedures.
4. To be fully competent in all administration functions required by NLBSS.
Person specification
Education & Qualifications
* 5 GCSE’s or equivalent
* EITS or Equivalent
* NVQ2 in Business Administration or Customer Care or equivalent
* Key Skills Level 2 in Literacy or equivalent
Experience
* Experience of undertaking detailed, intensive work in a busy administrative environment.
* Experience of using information technology such as Word and Excel in work-related activities.
* Experience of dealing sensitively with client/patient concerns in emotive and distressing circumstances.
