Job Title: Purchasing Assistant
Location: Plymouth
Contract Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Ventro, Firntec and LivGreen are an exciting group of companies focused on fire-safety services and net zero retrofit. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will work closely and effectively with the purchasing team to support our project managers in ensuring a timely delivery of stock to customer sites. You will need to be confident in negotiations and communicating with a variety of suppliers to achieve the best possible price on fire safety products – we will provide full training on product knowledge!
Key Skills / Responsibilities:
* Liaising with suppliers and internal departments
* Negotiating with suppliers
* Conducting supplier reviews
* Purchasing per project based on the bill of quantities within the budget set
* Reactive purchasing based on on-site requisitions
* Meeting deadlines for goods to get to site
* Resolving account queries and ordering issues
* One-off procurement exercises for bespoke projects
* Carrying out tender exercises annually, per spend category
The successful candidate must:
* Have great attention to detail
* Ideally (although not necessary) come from a buying/procurement background
* Have excellent negotiation skills
* Strong communication skills
* Data entry skills
* Previous NetSuite experience is advantageous
