Job Title: 1-1 SEND Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Pay: £90 - £100 per day
Contract Type: Long Term, Temp to Perm
Start Date: ASAP
We are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a KS1 pupil in a mainstream primary school identified as having Severe ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and is non verbal. You will need to be adaptable and flexible, creating a positive and encouraging environment for the pupil.
Role Requirements:
* Experience supporting children in a school or residential setting.
* Resilience and the ability to not take things personally.
* Be adaptable and use your own initiative.
* This role can often be physically demanding.
* A caring, patient and supportive nature.
* Expressive and talkative - pupil may be non verbal but loves talking/singing.
* Reliably commute and commit to work. Ideally have a car.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other support staff.
* The ability to adapt and respond to the dynamic and individual needs of students.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Upon a successful interview with us an interview/trial will be set in place soon after.
