We are currently looking for a keen and driven IT & Communications Manager to manage and join the existing IT team at Head Office, based in Maldon, Essex.
Role Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the overall efficient running of the company’s information systems, communication systems and networking/connectivity platforms. You will also be required to develop and ensure effective deployment of the company’s IT strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Ability to deploy the hardware and software resources required around the business in a timely and cost-effective manner
2. Lead the development and application of the company ERP system (IBCOS)
3. Develop and maintain the ‘Doenet’ Intranet
4. Procurement of hardware and software, negotiation with suppliers, and management of service contracts
5. Continuing our evolution from on-prem to cloud-based servers
6. Daily management of staff (currently a team of 4 people) in accordance with company procedures
7. Maintain high levels of confidentiality at all times
8. Promote network security and proactively prevent data and security breaches
9. Ensure reliable day-to-day operation of the company network platform
10. Ensure that information is shared and communicated effectively and in a timely fashion across the business
11. Develop and deploy a company Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan
12. Work to and set annual budgets
13. Work in conjunction with our Marketing Department in liaising with Web Developers and E-commerce platforms to aid growth and efficiencies in our online presence
Role Requirements:
1. Previous management experience desirable
2. Proven knowledge of managing IT platforms and project management; IBCOS ERP system knowledge desirable but not essential
3. Be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative, as well as part of a team
4. Ability to communicate to all levels of the business and its suppliers
5. Have strong leadership skills and be able to act quickly and decisively
6. Good attention to detail and be organised to manage own workload, as well as others
7. Take accountability for own decisions
8. Be analytical and methodical in your approach to problems
9. Experienced in leading on-prem to cloud server migrations

Additional Information

* Salary: £Competitive, depending on experience
