THE ROLE:
Reporting to the CTO, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams of Engineering Managers, Technical Architects, Programme Managers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions for the organization.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, define solution objectives, and work with Technical Architects to design end-to-end technology solutions that align with business goals.
* Engage with business stakeholders, Project Managers, and Technical Architects to gather requirements, provide regular progress updates, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.
* Discover and document the current technology landscape highlighting duplication in functionality and opportunities for consolidation and simplification.
* Work with third-party suppliers and manage relationships at a technical level.
* Design and present conceptual solutions to business and technical stakeholders.
* Assess existing systems, identify integration points, and develop strategies for seamless integration with new and current technologies.
* Create and maintain detailed solution architecture documentation, including system diagrams, reusable artefacts, technical specifications, and best practice guidelines.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluate their potential benefits and drawbacks, and make recommendations for their incorporation into existing or new solutions.
* Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success, including scalability, performance, security, and data integrity considerations.
Requirements:
* Significant experience as a Technical Architect within a software development environment.
* Strong understanding of software development methodologies, architectural patterns, and technologies such as cloud computing, microservices, APIs, database systems, and web technologies.
* Experience with large-scale, complex distributed systems.
* Ability to comprehend complex business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions that align with business objectives.
* Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and ability to foster a positive work environment conducive to innovation and creativity.
* Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
* Hands-on experience in designing Cloud and Hybrid solutions.
* Knowledge of security architecture and secure design.
* Experience in CI/CD practices and strategies.
