Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud/Infrastructure Architect to join our team. The Cloud/Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for supporting the designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of technology solutions that meet the strategic objectives of our organisation.
This role requires a deep understanding of Lean and agile practices, architecture patterns and frameworks, cloud technologies, and enterprise solutions, as well as strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contribute to the establishment of Azure cloud technology principles, standards, guidelines, and reference models, and DevOps practices for adoption across the business
2. Contribute to the cloud technology roadmaps and play a key role in shaping our cloud strategy
3. Supporting fellow architects in cloud design solutions.
4. Deep understanding in cloud security risks
5. Invest in continuous development of technical skills and soft skills.
6. Actively participate in our team community.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure engineers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure successful project delivery.
8. Effectively communicate complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience
9. 2+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture with an Infrastructure background.
10. Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks (., TOGAF, Zachman)
11. Strong knowledge of in the Microsoft stack (Azure, M365) preferred
12. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
13. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
14. Solid experience of lean, agile and DevOps practices
15. Strong knowledge of Identity\Governance (IAM) would be a plus.
Your technical skills should encompass some of the following areas:
16. Azure Compute: VMs, VMSS, App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, etc.
17. Azure Networking: Express Route, Virtual Network, ASG/NSG, Front Door, Azure Firewall, DNS, UDR, traffic manager.
18. Azure Management & Governance: Policy, Management Groups, RBAC, Bastion, Automation, Backup, ASR, Azure Monitor, Defender.
19. Azure Storage: Blob, Disks, Files.
20. Azure Migrations: Azure Migrate, 3rd-party tools.
21. DevOps Tools: Azure Pipelines, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
22. Technical knowledge across several infrastructure disciplines,. Microsoft Technologies,, VMWare, ESX, vSphere, Citrix, SQL, LAN/WAN/MAN, Routing, Firewall, Wireless, IDS/IPS, WAN optimization, Proxy, VPN services, Load Balancing and IT Security.
Preferred Qualifications
23. Professional certifications in architecture or cloud technologies (., TOGAF, AZ-104 / AZ-400, AZ-303/304/305).
24. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or experience
