About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SRE Engineering Manager to establish and build a strong SRE organization. This role involves designing, implementing, leading and overseeing the processes for continuous monitoring and production support of live systems, resolving incidents, and addressing critical customer bugs. The SRE Engineering Manager will build and lead a team of SREs and software engineers, ensuring proactive management, escalation, and resolution of issues related to our products. The position emphasizes proactive support, continuous monitoring, and improvement, with a focus on reducing response times for customer incidents and software bugs Responsibilities Developing and implementing SRE best practices to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability Hiring, leading and mentor a team of SREs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Collaborating with engineering, architecture, security and operational excellence teams to design and implement robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies. Driving automation initiatives to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency. Designing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring tools and processes to ensure continuous tracking of system performance, availability, and security. Leading the incident management process, including identification, troubleshooting, resolution, and post-incident analysis. Overseeing the smooth operation and availability of live systems, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt resolution of incidents Managing the intake, prioritization, and resolution of customer-reported bugs and requests. Working closely with the product, development, and customer success teams to ensure timely and effective responses to customer issues Requirements: Demonstrate experience managing and supporting live systems in a production environment. Demonstrate experience of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices. Demonstrate strong scripting with automation tools and scripting skills such as Python / JS/ Shell Proven experience managing and supporting live systems in a production environment. Strong understanding of incident management, monitoring tools, and automation processes. Demonstrate experience working with multiple cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure) as well as DevOps practices including CICD Pipelines as well as containerization and orchestration ( Kubernetes, Docker) Have experience working with multiple monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk Demonstrate and understanding in programming languages and technologies relevant to the supported products.
