Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by a leading manufacturing company to recruit a Purchasing Assistant. The successful applicant will support the Procurement department by coordinating the procurement of goods and services. You will manage supplier relationships and assist with inventory management.
The Role:
Creating and processing purchase orders
Manage suppliers to ensure product availability, discrepancies and track deliveries
Monitor inventory levels and ensure that stock is replenished on time
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase activities
Support Senior Procurement team with negotiations
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a purchasing/procurement essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing and record-keeping.
