Get to Know This RoleThe Sr. Mgr, Procurement will directly and indirectly lead all aspects of Procurement and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to all functions conducting procurement activities. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement, the role is a key leadership role within Supply Chain and will develop and implement brewery wide strategies that result in implementing best practices around strategic sourcing and spend management as well as optimal supplier relationship management (SRM) for all key strategic suppliers. This role will establish and maintain a Supplier Management program, identifying key business requirements and supplier success measures to those requirements. In conjunction with Director of Supply Chain & Procurement, Finance and Regulatory, the Sr. Mgr, Procurement will establish company-wide guidelines for Sourcing and Procurement activities and oversee compliance to these guidelines.

1. Serve as primary Subject Matter Expert for Procurement and Supplier Relationship Management within the business.
2. Directly lead or support sourcing and contracting activities for large direct and indirect agreements, acting as Commodity Leader for various materials and services as needed.
3. Establish and maintain Supplier Management program; track supplier success to key business requirements including supplier quality audit processes, supply continuity and risk mitigation planning, supplier capacity analysis, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability programs, performance, lead time management and cost optimization for our top critical suppliers of indirect and direct commodities.
4. Directly lead buyers to procure Retail and POS merchandise in alignment with the Sierra Nevada story, brand strategies and overall Retail/POS budgets and in collaboration with Marketing, Brand Management and Guest Experience.
5. Directly lead raw materials/brewing ingredient buying team to ensure forward contracting is aligned with business plans. Ensure team conducts risk assessments and commodity indices monitoring to ensure high quality supply at the lowest possible costs.
6. Identify and execute costs savings strategies, inventory management strategies and sustainability initiatives to maximize value of purchases and ensure alignment with company values.
7. Manage direct reports including coaching and mentoring employees in the performance of daily duties, establish performance standards, and provide support to ensure job results meet expectations, consistently working with teams on continuous improvement opportunities to reduce transactional aspects of procurement.
8. Serve as Procurement Subject Matter Expert (SME) for decentralized procurement personnel, while working towards a future-state centralized system.
9. With the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement assist in the development of a Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Training program which documents best practices in strategic sourcing, procurement, negotiations and contracting.

10. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline required OR any combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved required
11. Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline preferred OR any combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved preferred
12. 7 years of either Procurement (preferably Indirect and Direct), Supplier Management or Supplier Quality Management required and
13. 5 years of leadership experience required, preferably in Procurement Operations, Supplier Management or Supplier Quality related functions required and
14. 5 years of direct negotiations experience across multiple categories with both large and small contract values required and
15. 3 years Specific experiencing in managing packaging spend preferred
16. 3 years Lean, Continuous Improvement experience preferred
17. Expert level proficiency at Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint and Teams
18. Strong leadership skills and effective communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and suppliers.
19. Skilled at gaining trust and credibility with all levels of the company. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working partnerships.
20. Strong influencing skills with ability with proven track record to collaborate across functions and with external supply partners
21. Results oriented, metrics driven leader with a root cause, permanent fix and continuous improvement approach
