Location: Stratford, London Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

Cancer Research UK are looking for an experienced Research Marketing Manager to join our Research information, communication and engagement team.
The Research Marketing and Communications team drive the reach, reputation and profile of Cancer Research UK’s research activities with the research community.
With ever-increasing ambition in this area, this is a great opportunity for a confident and self-motivated Research Communications and Marketing Manager to join us.
You will manage a portfolio of branded communications and marketing activities that engage, inspire and inform researchers about our work.
What will I be doing?
1. Work with our researcher-facing teams to plan and deliver targeted multi-channel marketing campaigns to support priority activities including announcements, events and funding schemes.
2. Gather insight from academic and industry research audiences to shape your communication and marketing activities.
3. Create high-quality, engaging content suitable for a range of channels, including email, digital, social and print. Ensure all activity is on brand and uses appropriate language for a research audience.
4. Maximise brand attribution of our major research investments and promote Cancer Research UK’s reach and reputation with researchers.
What are you looking for?
1. Educated to a degree level (preferably in a science subject) or equivalent work experience.
2. Relevant experience in delivering communications strategies and marketing campaigns through multiple channels with accountability for reporting.
3. Ability to produce relevant, engaging and inspiring copy and content.
4. Experience of using content management systems, email platforms and templates to create campaigns.
5. Demonstrable experience of using and reporting on web and social media analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
6. Experience of commissioning external agencies and freelancers, from writing briefs to overseeing the delivery of high-quality creative work, on time and in budget.
7. Experience working within a scientific/research-focused organisation (e.g., agency, academia, funder, publisher, professional body, pharmaceutical industry).
