Washbrook ward is a diverse 27 bedded ward that provides care for medical patients with a wide variety of medical conditions. Patients on this ward tend to have a predicted length of stay of under seven days. Main duties of the job To be responsible, with the guidance of the Ward Sister for providing leadership and teaching within the Unit environment. To support the Ward Sister in the general management of the ward, such as completion of appraisals, 1-1s and other management tasks. Through knowledge, good example and education, enable unit staff to deliver high quality, individualised care. To provide support and supervision of nursing staff, and effectively coordinate and deploy resources within the ward. To assist in the provision of the Cardiac Monitoring Service across the wider hospital, through the monitoring of telemetry.
