Global Bank is currently searching for a Recovery & Resolution Planning VP to join their Birmingham office. This role has been created through an internal business with the current incumbent moving into a front office treasury role and is an ideal role for a capital management specialist looking for a broader role to include Liquidity management exposure. Responsibilities: Direct the Bank's UK approach to identifying and cataloguing management actions it can take in the event of stress. Key point of contact to other functions and businesses with an emphasis on bringing to life Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) to all business areas and functions. Ensuring the bank is ready to respond should a stress deteriorate into recovery phase or even further into resolution. Coordinate and supporting senior management in the bank's response to any potential recovery or resolution event. Deliver the Recovery Plan to local regulators on a periodic basis. Support submission of local resolution plans to local regulators as required and support the Group in the submission of the Resolvability Assessment Framework (RAF) self-assessment to the Bank of England (BoE). Collaborate closely with stress testing and other treasury functions to embed RRP into a BAU framework in line with Regulatory expectations. Enable business divisions and support functions to deliver the required information and ensuring that there is formal accountability and oversight at all levels across the bank. Responsible for the Identification of risks and implement mitigation approaches at the earliest opportunity. Oversee the tracking of Recovery Indicators. Conduct the Identification of local fire-drill requirements and training identification on RRP to ensure Recovery and Resolution understanding and readiness across all levels. Subject-matter expert (SME) on recovery and resolution planning including knowledge and application of evolving internal policies and regulatory rules, knowledge of legal entity relationships, business lines, products, and balance sheets. Requirements: Proven experience of either Capital Management, Stress Testing or Recovery and Resolution planning. Experience from another global bank, Consultancy or Regulator. Extensive experience of balance sheets and managing financial statements of a Bank or Financial Institution. Strong commercial awareness of the UK prudential capital landscape Proven experience of working in a Treasury department - preferred but not essential Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified) - preferred but not essential Strong process improvement skills This role is highly visible across the bank and will involve regular interaction with both internal and external stakeholders including C-Suite, it is therefore essential that you strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
