We're looking for a successful Gaming and Esports sales professional to play a key role as part of the UK Partnership Sales team, responsible for the successful delivery of the sponsorship sales programmes across our portfolio assets and services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the exciting world of gaming and esports and involves working across some of the highest profile sponsorship teams and events in esports including the Esports World Cup, Team Liquid, EA SPORTS FC, Activision Blizzard, RIOT Games, Ubisoft and many more.
Your primary goal will be to generate revenue by leading an end-to-end gaming and/or esports sales process, from category and prospect identification to negotiation and deal closing – In doing so, you'll facilitate the collaboration between brands and rights-holder clients through effective, imaginative, and pioneering sports marketing campaigns.
AS OUR ESPORTS SALES MANAGER, YOU WILL...
1. Develop strong relationships with prospective new clients via key customer touchpoints including phone, email, LinkedIn, networking events and meetings.
2. Showcase a thorough understanding of SPORTFIVE’s products and services.
3. Effectively work to a coordinated sales plan to achieve divisional budget targets and strategic objectives.
4. Work closely with our Sales Insight & Servicing team to prepare and lead sales pitches with international and domestic clients.
5. Build relationships with prospective clients to understand objectives, build relationships and secure revenue for the business.
6. Continually develop prospect lists by identifying relevant clients, industries and geographies.
7. Provide weekly and regular updates at team sales meetings showcasing activity and pipeline development.
8. Work with internal corporate functions such as legal and finance to create robust commercial agreements to support sales processes.
9. Ensure strong after-sales relationship management to enhance renewal probability and identify cross-sales/upselling potential.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING...
1. Previous experience working in esports/gaming sales.
2. Understanding of the esports and gaming ecosystems with knowledge of major stakeholders, esports fanbases and audiences, publisher and streaming platforms, major trends and commercial partnerships.
3. Experience in successfully managing a B2B sales process from end-to-end.
4. A self-assured and confident approach to pitching, presenting and negotiating with marketing decision-makers at all levels.
5. Confidence in creating sales opportunities through cold outreach before moving it through the sales funnel.
6. Strong relationship building skills with brands and colleagues.
7. A strategic and consultative sales approach.
8. Proactive, self-motivated and resilient attitude.
9. A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn and continually grow and develop.
10. Outstanding sales communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
