About the Role
As an Oasis Leisure Team Member, you will be responsible for supervising our swimming pools across all parks, ensuring the highest levels of safety and customer service for our guests. You will also assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment within the Oasis Centre and other leisure areas.
Job Type: Seasonal (fixed term)
Hours of Work: Various (includes weekends, school holidays, and Bank Holidays)
Key Responsibilities
* Lifeguard all swimming pools, remaining vigilant at all times.
* Welcome guests in a polite and professional manner.
* Provide excellent communication with colleagues using radios, phones, and emails.
* Follow all Normal Operating Procedures (NOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
* Maintain cleanliness of the Oasis Centre, including public areas, showers, and stores.
* Attend regular NPLQ training sessions as organised by the Leisure Manager.
* Provide written reports and log any incidents/accidents in accordance with procedure.
* Keep a personal training log of all training activities.
* Be familiar with all gym equipment and provide advice to guests when needed.
* Ensure all gym equipment is safe and properly maintained, report maintenance issues for resolution.
* Monitor and report defects in lifeguarding, gym, and other equipment.
* Respond to customer complaints professionally, informing supervisors when necessary.
* Use the company till system and adhere to cash and key handling procedures.
Education, Training, and Experience
Previous lifeguarding experience and knowledge of the industry.
NPLQ qualification (essential).
First Aid qualification (essential).
Disposition and Requirements
Strong communication and people skills.
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
High cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Professional and well-presented at all times.
Punctual and flexible with shift patterns.
