Job Description:
A key role within Credit Risk reporting to the Policies and Governance Senior Manager. The role holder will manage and maintain credit risk policies such as classification, forbearance, and provisions allowance policies. The role holder is also responsible for the development and maintenance of internal controls to monitor adherence to credit policies and minimize operational risks.
The difference you’ll make:
1. Updating internal credit policies where required and other relevant documentation such as procedures and handbooks
2. Ensuring that Policy & definitions are consistently applied and do not conflict with Global Policy and definitions
3. Producing MI and regulatory update reports for presentation at various levels of committees
4. Supporting line manager when working with internal and external stakeholders, including the PRA and EBA
5. Promoting compliance with Risk policies to all business stakeholders/internal network
6. Engaging with relevant business areas to quantify the commercial and operational impacts of policy changes
What you’ll bring:
1. Deep understanding of relevant regulation/policies (like NPL, forbearance) and standards (like PRA/ECB/EBA)
2. Experience of working in a Control function
It would also be nice for you to have:
1. Ability to manage and influence stakeholders
2. Good oral and written communication skills
3. Experience working in credit risk function
4. Banking/financial services experience
