We are seeking a volunteer youth worker who is JNC Qualified to work in a small youth provision for up to 20 hours a month supporting LGBTQIA+ young people in Blackpool, delivering impactful, accessible, and diverse programs and services for young people. The Volunteer Youth Worker will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people and help them reach their full potential. They will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment for young people, providing guidance, support, and facilitating a range of activities.
The volunteer youth worker will provide direct support to young people as needed, including one-to-one support, and will ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
This role may lead to paid employment in the future dependent on funding and the possibility of the right applicant becoming a director of the organisation.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
* Create a safe and welcoming environment for young people, building positive relationships with them
* Plan and deliver engaging needs-led activities and programs that promote personal growth and development
* Provide guidance and support to young people as needed
* Participate in team meetings and training
* Adhere to organisational policies and procedures
* Support the planning and evaluation of youth programmes and services
