This is part time role, we are ideally looking for someone who wants to work 3 days per week (we do have some flex for the right candidate) We’re an exceptionally fast-growing professional services focused company (approx. 40 FTE, with staff numbers accelerating monthly) and it’s critical to get the very best out of our people – therefore we need the very best Head of People to enable this. This role requires someone with an absolute ambition to oversee all aspect of People Management and ensure that we don’t just robustly comply with our obligations but develop a DNA which drives our success. This person is required to act as the senior HR professional within Constellia, providing strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of HR. This role will be pivotal in shaping the people strategy to align with the company's growth ambitions, driving cultural transformation, and fostering an environment of collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation. The Head of People will work closely with the leadership team to implement initiatives (hands on execution a key part of the role) that enhance employee engagement, build organisational capability, and embed the company’s values into all aspects of business operations. You’ll have a team (part-time talent and HR Admin support) that we anticipate will grow aligned to our business growth. Main Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Leadership · Develop and implement an HR strategy that supports the company’s growth, aligns with its vision, and enhances organisational culture. · Act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, providing insights and recommendations on people-related matters to drive business performance. · Lead cultural transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and values while fostering employee engagement and collaboration. · Embed innovative solutions to support and drive our commitment to be a recognised leader in fostering employee growth, a positive and inclusive culture as well as offering attractive benefits that attract and retain top talent. Operational Excellence · Oversee all aspects of HR operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with best practices. · Manage HR systems (e.g., Breathe HR), ensuring accurate data management and leveraging insights to inform decision-making. · Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding processes, including designing recruitment strategies and delivering impactful inductions. · Implement robust administrative processes to ensure lean and efficient HR operations. · Ensure HR systems and processes are scalable and continuously improved as the company grows. Employee Engagement, Development & Performance Management · Design and deliver initiatives to enhance employee engagement, well-being, and retention. · Lead on the development and implementation of performance management processes, ensuring a focus on employee growth and organisational success. · Partner with managers to provide coaching and support in managing performance, absence, and employee relations effectively. · Think outside the box regarding employee benefits to offer innovative and competitive advantages. · Employee Welfare. Policy Development & Compliance · Ensure all HR policies and procedures are up to date, compliant with legislation, and effectively communicated across the business. · Provide expert advice on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes. · Embed a robust risk management framework within HR policies and practices. Payroll & Reporting · Oversee payroll processes in collaboration with the Finance team, ensuring accuracy and compliance. · Deliver regular HR reports to senior leadership, providing insights into key metrics such as turnover, engagement, and diversity. Qualifications · Educated to degree level or equivalent (preferred). · CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards (or suitable equivalent). · Evidence of continued professional development, with a focus on leadership, organisational development, or cultural transformation. Skills & Experience · Significant experience in a senior HR role, ideally within a fast-growing SME or dynamic organisation. · Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that align with business goals. · Proven track record in driving and embedding cultural transformation, employee engagement, and change management initiatives. · Extensive experience in providing expert advice on HR policies, procedures, and complex employee relations matters.
