About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to support and influence the Local Authorities Early Years Continuous Professional Development (CPD) offer for early years practitioners in Nottingham city.
As Workforce Development Support Officer, you will assist in the development, promotion, coordination and monitoring of the Early Years CPD Directory and associated training, networking and development opportunities. You will ensure booking and contracting systems and processes are operating effectively, including the online payment system and associated financial processes.
The post holder will be expected to have excellent organisational skills, keeping accurate records of ongoing training activity and course bookings to ensure marketing is effective and pre course administration is conducted in a timely manner.
Alongside the Childcare Workforce Development Manager and multi-disciplinary Early Years team, you will provide advice and guidance to childcare providers, schools, colleagues and other relevant stakeholders about Early Years Workforce Development, seeking views on future CPD opportunities and supporting the evaluation of current training and networking programmes.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience of working in a childcare, social care or education type environment
2. Experience of organising and coordinating training programmes
3. Knowledge of IT systems used for managing information and a good level of accuracy in inputting and analysing data
4. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and by telephone to a variety of customers
5. Excellent numerical skills
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
