Codat helps build deeper connections with business customers. We offer products that make it easy to access, synchronize and interpret data from customers’ financial software for specific use cases, such as onboarding suppliers to commercial card programs and underwriting business loans. The depth of specialization and expertise that runs through our products and service enables our clients to more effectively grow share of wallet, reduce churn and scale operations.
Who do we need, and why?
We are unifying our data streams at Codat into a single team. Our existing data teams have some overlap but operate separately to service either in-house BI data analytics or serve millions of requests for predictions from our clients. You will be a core part of our engineering group and work with a variety of stakeholders to develop both new product features and support internal BI data requirements. This role will lead a multi-discipline squad of data engineers, BI analysts, and data scientists. This is a great opportunity for a talented and ambitious leader to shape a significant and growing function at an established start-up.
For this role, we are looking for a passionate people leader who is able to motivate and mentor their team and help guide them to success, as well as someone technically strong who cares about technology and shipping great products that will delight clients.
What you’ll bring to the team
* Experience leading a multidisciplinary team including data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts
* Experience working as a data scientist and familiarity with the lifecycle of work and technology stack
* Experience designing and implementing best of breed ETL, data warehousing, and tooling e.g. DataBricks, Snowflake etc.
* Natural people leadership - you care about the success of your team and want to help them develop and grow and regularly produce high-quality results
* Start-up mindset - as a start-up, it’s important that this person wants to help us deliver at pace and has the attitude to get things done
* Experience managing performance review cycles, running 1-2-1’s and providing support and feedback to your team
* Collaborative - you know how to bring people from other teams together to create success.
