Weapons Technician Based: RAF Coningsby Contract: 6 Months £22.57 PAYE OR £29.34 Umbrella inside IR35 Onsite: 5 days On-site, full-time position, with occasional shift work (days: 07:30 to 16:00 hrs, nights: 16:00 to 02:00 hrs). BAE Systems are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Aircraft Technician to join our team on a subcontract basis. You will play a key role in providing detailed maintenance, diagnostic, and repair activities on crew escape, ejection seats, armament, and associated weapon systems Experience: City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering & Maintenance or equivalent qualification. Formal EaPW / Weapons training course. Minimum 3 years' experience with expertise in aircraft maintenance, including a comprehensive knowledge of systems, compliance documentation, and all required authorities Previous experience in a similar aircraft or weapons systems maintenance role. Understanding of the Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework and familiarity with ITAR, EaPW, and ISO standards The Job: Perform and complete maintenance activities on aircraft and weapon systems, including inspections, repairs, modifications, and functional/system testing. Document maintenance records and maintain airworthiness logs. Ensure compliance with Part 145 activities, identifying and escalating any issues impacting airworthiness or delivery performance.
