Your Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* Work with individual students or small groups, supporting them with their academic journey.
* Develop learning plans tailored to student needs, ensuring they understand their tasks and objectives.
* Foster independent learning while offering the support needed for students to succeed academically and socially.
* Collaborate with teachers to contribute to lesson planning and ensure that learning materials are accessible and effective.
* Assist students with reading, writing, and exam preparations, ensuring equal opportunities for success.
* Be an advocate for students, ensuring their voices are heard and their well-being is a priority.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with young people who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or challenging behaviours.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, along with solid IT skills.
* A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy.
* Experience working with learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
* A passion for supporting students to reach their full potential.
Desirable:
* A qualification in Learning Support or a related field.
* Experience in welfare, pastoral care, or safeguarding.
