A senior security professional is sought to lead the tactical delivery of security operations at a high-profile estate in London, with over 4 million visitors per year.
**Job Description**
Our client, a high-profile estate and venue in London, is looking for a senior security professional to lead the tactical delivery of security operations. The successful candidate will work with internal departments and external clients to plan and deliver the security operation 365 days a year.
**Key Responsibilities**
* **Leadership and Management**
+ Lead the security department to foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive team environment
+ Line manage Security Duty Managers, ensuring effective leadership and development
+ Act as escalation point for Security Duty Managers in managing security-related investigations
+ Deliver department training needs, sourcing, planning, and delivery
+ Responsible for Security Operations Team Payroll approval
+ Oversight of department roster management and sickness and absence monitoring
* **Business Management**
+ Shared responsibility for budget and forecasting
+ Manage and maintain budgeting for the Security department and its suppliers
+ Oversee contracts to maintain cost effectiveness and efficiency
+ Ensure all Audit, Risk & Compliance actions are identified and closed out
+ Provide Board and Monthly Leadership Reports to the COO
+ Tender and contract management for all manned guarding services
* **Operations**
+ Ensure the security department and security plans are aligned to business objectives
+ Ensure the venue security operation is planned and executed efficiently
+ Represent the venue security operations to clients and their appointed security leads
+ Attend client meetings to discuss security provisions and recommend solutions
+ Liaison in planning and delivery with Transport organisations and Met Police
+ Tactical lead for Security and Counter Terrorism
+ Incident and inquiry investigations
+ Event Control Room senior lead for major events
+ Carry out Duty Director duties
+ Oversee the forward resourcing requirements for the core team
+ Investigate all security breaches and report action
* **Contract Management & Standards**
+ Management of support contracts, contractor KPI's and standards
+ Ensure external security providers hold an Approved Contractor Scheme SIA certificate and insurance cover
+ Daily quality control of Event Security business partners
+ Annual audit of manned guarding suppliers
+ Cost and revenue management
* **Training**
+ Maintain the security team training plans up to date for all security staff
* **Budget**
+ Ensure operational budgets are effectively controlled and managed
**Requirements**
* Experience in the security industry, intelligence gathering, and leading large operational teams in high footfall environments
* Cost management and revenue opportunities
* Mentoring and developing teams
* Ability to work across departments collaboratively
* Worked in busy, fast-paced environments
* Extensive team leadership, managing people and situations
* NEBOSH Diploma or similar H&S qualification preferred
* Awareness of Fire and Security Systems required
* SIA Door Supervisor Licence and SIA CCTV Licences required
* First Aid At Work trained
