Housing Options Officer
Location: Bristol, South West
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £34,314 - £37,938 per annum
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
Sellick Partnership Ltd is currently recruiting for a Housing Options Officer to join one of our Bristol-based clients on a permanent basis.
Daily duties of the Housing Options Officer consist of:
1. Preventing and relieving homelessness by assessing the level of need from individuals presenting as homeless or at risk of homelessness.
2. Determining the appropriate pathway to support in line with the client's statutory duties, and working with them & third parties to resolve their housing difficulties.
3. Providing authoritative advice and information to tenants and landlords on statutory rights and tenancy law.
4. Promoting a range of housing initiatives/options to prevent & relieve homelessness, and for homeless households, considering alternative options to the use of temporary accommodation.
5. Managing a caseload of service users in housing needs and working with them to resolve their housing difficulties.
Essential requirements of the Housing Options Officer:
1. Previously worked within Housing Needs.
2. Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
3. Have an understanding of Homeless legislations.
