An opportunity for an Inventory Manager has become available with an established OEM of specialist vehicles, based in Coventry.
As the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Inventory Policy and Procedures to ensure stocks remain in control, providing internal teams and external customers with effective inventory policy.
You will be skilled in ERP inputs and MRP parameters to ensure stock control, taking full accountability of all stock procedures in production and spares warehousing.
Inventory Manager – Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement inventory policies supporting right first-time production and build
* Controlling level of inventory in production and spares warehousing.
* Set stock levels in overseas warehousing
* Own all inventory procedures i.e. stocktake, and PI processes.
* Control inventory and obsolete stock through change management processes.
* Accountable for run in / out of new products minimizing waste to company.
* Review MRP rules and stock policy influencing stock valuations on a scheduled basis, adjusting and communicating changes as necessary.
* Own SiOP process and reporting at local and group level.
* Manage Planning staff in creating production plan ensuring adherence to sales order demand profile.
* Develop and maintain annual budget for materials.
* Effective “super user” of ERP system.
Inventory Manager - Essential Skills & Experience Required:
* HND or a Level 5 qualification in a Supply Chain Management discipline or equivalent
* Deep understanding of ERP and MRP systems
* Project management experience in ERP implementation or improvement
* Demonstrate successful experience in managing Inventories
* Proven senior management level report writing skills
* Excellent forecasting, cost control and budget management
* Good analytical skills and the ability to think creatively
* Excellent planning and organising skills
* Project Management skills including ability to produce and work with timing plans
* Degree or Level 6 qualification in Supply Chain Management or similar.
* Oracle based systems
* Experience in a senior role, member of a management team
