Position Summary
There are positions open for an Assistant Manager or Manager. You will be working on a range of Government grant opportunities and expected to maintain a strong understanding of grant programs offered by Federal and State Governments.
As well as working autonomously on grant assignments you will be mentoring and managing junior staff. You will also work closely with senior management in order to contribute to the growth of the National Grants Practice.
The role provides an opportunity to work autonomously on grant assignments but also as a team as may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work autonomously in the preparation of grant submissions.
2. Conduct meetings and correspondence with clients.
3. Collation of documentation, drafting applications and supporting documents.
4. Providing advice on grant requirements.
5. Client and stakeholder management and client relationship building.
6. Management of junior staff.
7. Working with senior staff on more complex grant assignments.
8. Undertake business development activities.
9. Keep up to date with all the latest developments in State and Federal Government grants.
10. Manage a portfolio of diverse clients.
11. Ensure all administrative and practice management tasks are completed.
12. Liaise with other divisions such as the National R&D Tax Practice and other relevant divisions.
13. Partake in all training offered.
Education Requirements:
1. Science / Engineering / IT or ICT / Commerce / Finance / Accounting / Tax / Law / Business degree.
2. Technical specialty, such as Science / Engineering / IT.
Demonstrated Experience & Attributes:
1. Existing direct grants experience of a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
2. Strong written communication skills from a technical, scientific and legal perspective.
3. Strong information and data processing skills.
4. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
5. Leadership skills, including practice management and people management.
