Business Development Manager HV / High Voltage / Power Sector
We are currently hiring for a market-leading Telecoms company offering a great opportunity to join as a Business Development Manager on a large project.
Position Overview:
Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding our clients' presence in the high-voltage power sector (both ICP and DNO). Proven track record of identifying and winning new business, building long-term relationships with clients, and presenting technical solutions to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the high-voltage power sector.
2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
3. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and provide technical advice to support their requirements.
4. Work closely with the estimating team to prepare quotes, bids, and proposals.
5. Develop your own pipeline of work.
6. Visit contacts and clients to better develop key client relationships.
7. Develop detailed proposals and quotes specific to clients and projects.
8. Prepare bids and tenders.
Key Requirements:
1. Strong technical knowledge of high-voltage construction projects.
2. Experience keeping a CRM up to date and maximizing resources available.
3. An interest in conversations including power quality, renewables, sustainability, and net zero, for instance, hydrogen production, BESS, etc.
4. A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5. A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within the power sector.
6. Willingness to travel frequently - A full UK driver's license.
