Position: Mechanical Design Engineer - Motherwell Office
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Package
The successful candidate will be responsible for medium to large scale projects and individual engineering task(s) for numerous schemes for the client across sectors. This will include the creation, development, and finalizing of engineering design solutions of electrical services elements, working with other team members and project teams, along with direct liaison with the client and other design team professionals. Attendance at regular project meetings, site inspections, and monitoring of works at a site level will be key functions of this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Central Control/Building Management
2. Complete survey work and site inspections
3. Undertake design calculations using various methods, from hand calculations to software-based modeling
4. Prepare drawn information
5. Write technical specifications and technical reports
6. Identify and resolve problems early
7. Exhibit active project risk management
8. Peer review and check design information prepared by others
9. Represent K&M at meetings
10. Maintain records and archives to company standards
11. Manage their own workload to meet defined targets and deadlines
12. Manage client relationships on specific projects
Minimum Requirements:
1. 10 years industry experience
2. Ability to work on own initiative
3. High attention to detail
4. Ability to collaborate and work as part of a dynamic team
5. Good working knowledge of:
1. Microsoft Word & Excel
2. AutoCAD
3. Autodesk Revit MEP
4. Cymap
6. Take responsibility for their own professional and personal development
