Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a local school to complete The Employment Practitioner Level 4 apprenticeship.
The role plays a crucial part in supporting students in their journey towards successful employment. This position involves mentoring students, providing guidance on career options, and assisting them in developing essential skills for the workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and organisational skills.
As part of the apprenticeship qualification, you will be required to complete and pass coursework that has been set by tutor/s.
Duties
1. Mentor and support students in identifying their career aspirations and pathways.
2. Conduct workshops and one-on-one sessions to enhance students' employability skills.
3. Assist students with job applications, CV writing, and interview preparation.
4. Collaborate with local businesses to create opportunities for student placements and internships.
5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and engagement.
6. Provide guidance on IT skills relevant to the workplace.
7. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and development.
Experience
1. Maths and English Grade C/4/Level 2 (Essential)
2. Advice and guidance experience (Desirable)
3. Strong customer service background (Essential) demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with students and employers alike.
4. Proficiency in IT applications relevant to office environments, including word processing and presentation software.
5. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a good command of English.
