What you’ll be doing You’ll be part of our team of Regional Senior Tutors who regularly travel to work on a ‘relief’ basis to cover education courses where our centres need an extra hand. Where you’ll be based You’ll work on a ‘relief’ basis predominantly covering some of our most beautiful learning locations in South Wales and Southern England. Our schedules are written out well in advance, sometimes up to 8 weeks, so you have plenty of notice on where you will be. Although, we do need you to have some flexibility to cover at short notice at times, for example if an illness occurs. When you’re not scheduled to work at a learning location, you are given flexibility to work from home remotely or you always have the option to work from the closest centre to your homebase. Currently, this role is offered on a non-resident basis (negotiable); but accommodation is provided whilst working at a location away from your home area. Who we’re looking for You’ll have a degree or equivalent in an appropriate academic discipline, previous experience of teaching or tutoring and experience of writing and undertaking risk assessments. This position will require you to regularly travel to our Field Studies Council locations across the UK, some of which are in beautiful remote locations but cannot always be accessed by public transport. Therefore, to be a successful candidate a full valid Driving Licence is an essential requirement.
