Mosaic Primary Care Network Job Description & Person Specification Job title General Practice Assistant (GPA) Accountable to Clinical Director Hours per week 37.5 Salary £13 to £14 per hour, dependent on experience Location Odiham and Old Basing Health Centres About Us Mosaic Primary Care Network consists of 3 practices (Crown Heights Medical Centre, Odiham & Old Basing Health Centres and Bramblys Grange Medical Practice) located in or near Basingstoke. We have a combined patient population of circa 60,000 patients. We are looking for a GPA to join our team and they would be located within Odiham and Old Basing Health Centres. The PCN is a registered learning environment, so all our ARRS staff are supported by an EELS lead to ensure we meet the aspirations of both the team member and the surgeries. Essential Information As this role is based over two sites, a full driving licence is required. 2 days per week must start at 8am, with one of these days being at Odiham Health Centre and the other at Old Basing Health Centre. There is some flexibility on start and finish times on other days which can be discussed at interview. Job Summary General Practice Assistants (GPAs), support the smooth running of clinics by performing more routine administration and clinical tasks on behalf of the GP, freeing up their time to focus on the patient. The role is subject to a maximum reimbursement equivalent of an Agenda for Change band 4 level. Staff can be trained in-practice, with on-job training and development led by GPs, in line with the role outline and national competency Network contract DES: Contract specification 2024/25.Trainee GPAs may also complete HEEs accreditation programme, aligned to the competency framework, equipping them with formal certification of their learning. These staff are supported by a structured development programme (managed by HEE) and gain formal certification after around nine months.
