Job Advert: Environment, Health & Safety Controller Location: Broughton, North Wales Department: Facilities Management and Real Estate (FMRE) About the Role: We are excited to announce an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Controller to join our client's dynamic FMRE team. In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering an inclusive, value-driven, and engaging working environment while maintaining the highest safety standards. Key Responsibilities: As an EHS Controller, you will ensure that appropriate risk controls are in place for team activities and those of service providers. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements for the introduction of new plant and work equipment, as well as the ongoing maintenance of that equipment. Conducting EHS inspections on internal operations and activities carried out by service providers will be a key aspect of your role, along with assisting in collating formal records and action plans. You'll provide competent EHS advice for a wide range of strategic projects through feasibility and design reviews. Implementing processes and completing compliance audits to ensure adherence to relevant legal requirements, including CDM Regulations 2015 and the Building Safety Act, will be essential. You'll ensure that work-related incidents, from near misses to lost time injuries and environmental incidents, are reported, investigated effectively, and remedial actions are implemented. What we are looking for: To be successful in this role, you should have a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, at a minimum. Demonstrated experience in reporting to and working with key stakeholders to implement safety-related projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is crucial. You should have first-hand experience with formal risk assessment and auditing techniques, as well as relevant experience in Facilities Management or construction/maintenance.
