A wonderful four day live out nanny role has become available in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. This friendly and professional family is looking for a nanny who can stay long term and become part of their happy family. This role could also work as a live in position, the salary would be adjusted for this option.
You will be caring for a nearly two year old little girl and her newborn sibling. Previous experience of working with newborns and toddlers would be advantageous.
The hours will be 07.00-18.00, Monday-Thursday, with a little flexibility. This can be discussed and agreed with the parents.
The little girl attends nursery each morning, which will give the nanny ample opportunity to spend some quality time and focus on the baby and carry out the required nursery duties.
Flexibility in this role is a must. While on maternity leave, Mum will sometimes leave both children with you and go off to do her own thing. Other times, she will take just one child to gain quality time with each of them. There may also be times when you all do something together.
The parents are keen for their children to learn and develop in a balanced way, to help them to hit their various developmental milestones – with lots of educational and stimulating indoor fun (reading stories, sensory play, singing, age-appropriate games, etc) mixed with plenty of outside play and walks to the park. They would also like you to meet up with friends for play dates, groups and activities to allow their children to mix, ensuring that they are always safe and happy.
As well as general care of the children, keeping all areas used by the children clean and tidy (kitchen, children’s rooms, playroom, etc), the nursery duties are to include keeping on top of their laundry. Although the family has a weekly cleaner, any help to keep the house running smoothly between cleans would be appreciated.
You will be responsible for providing healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children, home cooked as often as possible and providing meal plans. You will help to prepare bottles and as the baby grows, meals are to be blended (age appropriate) with plenty made in advance and frozen for the parents to use at the weekends. Knowledge of weaning and potty training is essential.
You will be a careful and confident driver with your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid at the current government rate.
The family has a friendly dog, so someone who is happy to have him around is a must.
As well as their beautiful spacious home in Marlow, the family own a house abroad. Part of the role would be to include travel for 4-6 weeks across the year. All travel expenses would be paid.
This is a wonderful role and would suit someone who is happy to make a long-term commitment.
