A renowned construction consultancy in Scotland is seeking a skilled CDM Principal Designer to join their team in Glasgow. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and promoting the highest standards of health & safety across diverse projects.
The CDM Principal Designer's Role
* The successful CDM Principal Designer will play a critical role in managing design risks and ensuring that projects adhere to safety regulations.
* Identifying, assessing, and mitigating design risks throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensuring all projects comply with CDM 2015 regulations and other relevant health and safety standards.
* Providing expert advice to clients, contractors, and design teams on CDM compliance and safety best practices.
* Preparing and reviewing essential health and safety documents, including pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
* Working closely with project teams to integrate safety considerations from the design phase through to project completion.
The Successful CDM Principal Designer
* Significant experience in a CDM Principal Designer role within the construction industry.
* Relevant industry qualifications such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate, APS membership, or equivalent.
* Comprehensive understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and current health and safety legislation.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
* A proactive and collaborative mindset to ensure effective safety management in all projects.
