This is a central commercial leadership role, primarily focused on unlocking the identified strategic growth priority of the High Street Discounters (HSD) channel. You will have accountability across all Grocery and Sweet Treats categories, business partnering the Customer Director (Discounters), relevant Account Managers, Marketing teams and across the broader supply chain (Demand planning / FGMs etc) to fundamentally lead and support the business to achieve its blend of internal and external Channel specific objectives including Turnover, Profit, Innovation, and market share for the HSD Channel. The role To excel in this role, you'll need to be a proactive individual with strong priority setting skills. This role requires someone who is highly analytical and can explain complexity with simplicity. For this role, we're really keen to bring in someone who is a strategic thinker with sharp commercial awareness. This role would suit someone who is a confident communicator at all levels. The Key Requirements Responsible for working cross functionally with all Commercial teams to develop brand & channel strategies to deliver budgeted sales, profit and NPD targets Develop, agree, drive execution of promotional strategy and guidelines across all brands for the HSD channel. Improve promotional return on investment for brands category Analyse and review business forecast & key issues in business planning process influencing Customer teams to drive outperformance. Design of pack, price & promotional architecture specific to the HSD channel Accountable for the commercialisation of Channel relevant NPD including pricing, promotional support and ensuring execution through the sales team achieving objectives Ensure Sales and Customer strategies are integrated into brand plans by influencing Brand Directors.
