Summary You'll be welcoming visitors to Castle Ward, taking payments, providing a warm and friendly welcome to our place to all our visitors. You'll answer questions, give out house tickets and keep areas looking their best, doing your best to make sure everyone has an enjoyable visit. Salary: £11.64 per hour (rising in April) Contract: Fixed term until 1 Dec Hours/working pattern: 507 hours annually (9.75 hours a week).This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. What it's like to work here Castle Ward is a busy place with lots going on - from our Georgian mansion house, our busy tea-room, bike hire offer and 32km of trails, there's plenty to keep visitors occupied. It would be great if you have a love of the outdoors and an interest in the work of the National Trust. Rotas are issued monthly and our small team is flexible. Shifts are generally between 10am and 5pm, with less hours in the winter and more in the summer. What you'll be doing You'll be part of our small team, working together or on your own during quieter times of the year to welcome visitors at our admission point or in Reception. You might be taking a phone query, helping to reunite a visitor with their lost item, giving out a mobility scooter to a visitor or working on a busy event day taking payments and scanning membership cards. You'll help us grow support by recruitment members and letting people know about our events and projects.
