Job Title: RMI Automotive Auditor/ Technical Trainer
Location: Crawley and surrounding area
Summary and Main Purpose:
The Automotive Auditor/ Technical Trainer role is suitable for ex-Workshop Managers or vehicle technicians. The purpose of this role is to provide an efficient, day-to-day inspection and auditing service within a designated regional area, offering quality service to RMISC customers to help them meet their requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
* Conduct automotive audits.
* Provide and compile accurate documentation following site visits.
* Identify non-compliance proactively and propose effective solutions.
* Offer phone and email support between visits.
* Update relevant databases to reflect current positions.
* Manage own work and files proactively.
* Undertake quality checks and provide feedback as required.
* Plan, organise, and manage all aspects of activities within the designated regional area.
* Compile regular movement and field activity reports for submission to administration.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant quality systems and procedures.
Key Requirements:
* Automotive experience.
* Vehicle technical repair experience.
* MOT experience.
* Field territory management experience and a track record of delivery and success in a field-based role.
* Proactive in updating awareness and knowledge of legislative and industry sector requirements.
* Experience of change management.
* Ability to provide research documents with a focus on care and details, including stats/trend analysis reports.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Awareness of motor industry practices.
* Proven customer service skills.
* Excellent team player.
* Experience of achieving challenging team goals.
* Excellent drafting and communication skills.
* Ability to manage own workload and work with minimum supervision.
* Basic IT skills (i.e., Keyboard, Word, Excel).
Specific Skills:
* Understanding of vehicle service and repair processes, methods, and constituent tasks.
* Familiarity with equipment and tools used in vehicle service and repair processes.
