The Opportunity
They are seeking a passionate and innovative MFL Teacher to join their dedicated team. As an MFL Teacher, this individual will play a key role in inspiring students to develop their language skills, creative expression, and critical thinking. They are looking for someone who can create engaging and challenging lessons that foster a deep understanding and appreciation of modern foreign languages across all Key Stages.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver dynamic, engaging, and differentiated lessons in French and Spanish across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Ensure all students are actively engaged, well-supported, and consistently challenged to reach their full potential in their language studies.
* Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to explore challenging literary and linguistic concepts. Encourage them to approach their studies with enthusiasm and confidence.
* Employ a diverse range of teaching strategies, resources, and modern technologies to cater to the varied learning styles and abilities of all students. Enhance overall student engagement and deepen their understanding of the subjects.
* Encourage students to think critically and creatively, fostering their analytical skills. Help them develop a deep appreciation for literature, language, and effective communication through thoughtful and innovative teaching methods.
* Implement various formative and summative assessment methods to monitor and evaluate student progress. Provide timely, constructive feedback to support each student's academic growth and achievement.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop, review, and refine the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) curriculum. Actively participate in departmental meetings and contribute to cross-curricular projects and enrichment activities that benefit the wider school community.
* Serve as a Form Tutor for an assigned form, carrying out related duties in accordance with the general job description. Provide guidance and support to students within your form group.
* Participate in appropriate meetings with colleagues and parents, engaging in discussions related to the aforementioned duties and ensuring open communication lines.
* Take an active role in the performance and development review process. Identify learning, development, and training opportunities in consultation with your line manager, and take personal responsibility for your professional growth
