As General Manager, you’ll take the reins of daily operations, leading a dedicated team to deliver outstanding guest experiences while fostering a strong sense of community. This is not just a desk-based role; you’ll be actively involved in all aspects of the business—whether it’s meeting with customers, motivating staff on the floor, or ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes.
We’re looking for someone with at least two years of experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You’ll need to balance a sharp focus on strategy and profitability with a practical, hands-on approach to staff management and service excellence.
Your leadership will inspire the team to consistently deliver high standards of service and presentation that exceed guest expectations.
The ideal General Manager candidate will be able to demonstrate:
1. Experience working in a busy small - medium hotel operation, managing teams of 10-15 front of house staff
2. Experience delivering a 1st class hospitality & service experience, in a busy, hands-on venue
3. 1st rate understanding of back of house systems, costings, stock, labour and financial controls
4. A professional and confident demeanor is essential, as is the ability to show the company ethos & high standards every day in service & management.
5. Understanding of the latest H&S guidelines and procedures.
6. Experience working in a similar sized venue, and within a ‘hands on’ management structure.
7. Have a friendly yet professional persona
8. Be a strong leader, being able to enthuse those around you
9. Be able to lead by example to ensure your high standards filter through the front of house team
10. Controlling the staff management and training along with ordering and stock control.
11. Have the ability to self-manage and the ability to adapt and improvise to changing situations.
