Legal Counsel - 12 month FTC (PT - 4 days a week)
Key details: Our client is seeking a commercial lawyer to join them as legal counsel in their small team of 3. This is a part-time position (4 days a week) and is a 12-month FTC requiring a January 2025 start date.
If you have a slightly longer notice period, the client is open to exploring applicants with longer notices. Hybrid working is required, with 2 days a week in the Wandsworth offices. The client also has a Euston office, allowing you to split your time between both offices if this helps. While the client welcomes applications from all PQE levels, the salary would suit a mid-level lawyer (£65,000-£85,000 FTE per annum DOE/PQE Level).

Responsibilities:
Commercial: Draft, negotiate, and advise the business on a range of commercial agreements including but not limited to:
* E-commerce and marketing
* Concession, consignment, wholesale
* Warehousing and logistics
* Security and data processing
Review and keep up to date internal documents such as supplier manuals and GDPR policies, supporting the business with ad hoc queries.
Intellectual Property: Assist with the management of the brands' trademark portfolios in conjunction with external attorneys. Problem solving on ad-hoc IP issues (drafting or responding to cease-and-desist letters, fraudulent website takedowns, etc.).
Compliance/Regulatory: Support with risk registers, compliance trackers, and agendas for meetings with the parent company. Research and analysis on changing legislation, ensuring implementation of necessary changes and working with relevant departments on communication. Support GC with company secretarial tasks.
Required Skills:
* Qualified lawyer with experience of coordinating and instructing external lawyers
* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively across all business functions
