Job Advert: Stores Assistant Location: Lincolnshire Police Headquarters, Nettleham Hours: 23 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) Rate of Pay: £15.49 per hour (Umbrella) Key Responsibilities: Approve and process uniform requisitions for officers and staff. Raise purchase orders, liaise with suppliers, and ensure timely deliveries. Maintain and update the computerised stock control system. Manage incoming goods, including quality checks and proper storage. Perform uniform fittings for new starters and ensure accurate sizing. Conduct regular stock checks and assist with the annual stocktake. Ensure proper disposal of end-of-life items per force policy. Keep the Stores area organised and meet health and safety standards. Essential Skills and Qualifications: 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Maths. Proven computer skills, including experience with Windows-based or Oracle systems. Good understanding of stock control and audit processes. Effective communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Physically fit to manage stock movement and storage.
