Job Description
As a Pricing Analyst you will be responsible for using advanced data mining and analysis skills to maximize margins through price setting. You will analyze new and existing pricing and implement updates in accordance with established pricing strategies. You will work with pricing management to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
Responsibilities
1. Performs advanced analytics of margin opportunities and provides recommendations for improvement.
2. Creates, implements, and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly margin impact reports, and provides summary of margin issues and recommendations.
3. Analyzes new and existing pricing and implements updates in accordance with established pricing strategies to meet financial goals and objectives.
4. Resolves issues related to pricing with sales and supply chain personnel and initiates any necessary adjustments or corrections.
5. Collaborates with purchasing and sales leadership to execute on defined cost protection methods.
Qualifications
1. Bachelors’ Degree in Business or related required
2. 1 year required, 2 years preferred of analytical pricing, purchasing, or finance experience
3. 1 year of data analyst work in wholesale or retail distribution is preferred
4. 1 year of electrical distribution experience is preferred
5. Ability to generate accurate and timely analysis using advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, or SQL
6. Strong data mining, aggregation and analytical skills
7. Ability to multi-task and set priorities
8. Ability to interact and work with management and within a team environment.
9. Ability to travel to periodic team meetings
10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
11. Detail oriented with strong work ethic.
12. Effective organizational skills.
