Position
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Medical Audio Typist at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
You will provide high quality secretarial and administrative support to the Clinical and scientific staff to ensure efficiency in patient care.
Duties undertaken will include the transcription of histology reports, post mortems and other routine tasks as delegated by the Pathology Office Co-ordinator.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You will have developed communication skills both written and verbal and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently independently as well as part of a team. You will be able to use your own initiative to deal sensitively with individuals and particularly to remain calm when dealing with complaints.
You should be a highly motivated and positive team member who can work effectively in order to meet the demands of this busy office. A minimum typing speed of 50 w.p.m. and a recognised administrative/medical secretarial qualification is essential or equivalent experience in an NHS setting.
Hours:
37 per week
Participation in the Saturday morning and Public Holidays roster is required for which time off in lieu will be given.
