A Dundee based global business that is experiencing fast growth, is looking for a finance manager to join the business.
Primary responsibility:
1. Month end reporting in line with group timetable;
2. Work with directors & management to grow business;
3. Provide financial information to the business to assist with growth & profitability;
4. Run the cash management and annual budgeting.
Primary requirements:
1. Production of monthly reporting pack in reporting format and in accordance with group reporting timetable for two UK entities;
2. Management of the monthly reporting for foreign subsidiaries;
3. Produce a monthly commentary on the monthly result, identifying and commenting on variances to the budget. Highlighting areas for profitability and cash flow improvement;
4. Management of the finance team in the Dundee HQ;
5. Oversee the cash forecasting & cash management for the UK entities;
6. Production of regular KPI data as required by the UK general manager and directors;
7. Production & distribution of monthly revenue flash and profit forecast;
8. Monitoring of project costs on Sage and distributing project cost reports at each month end;
9. Preparation, review and distribution of monthly utilization report in conjunction with general manager;
10. Posting of month end accounting journals, including calculation of month end work in progress;
11. Work with the general manager’s to ensure stock listing is accurate at each month end and all stock movements are recorded;
12. Ensure the accuracy of the SAGE accounting records including the month end trial balance;
13. Oversee the monthly payroll & quarterly VAT filings;
14. Drafting of the annual budget and regular forecasting updates in conjunction with the general managers;
15. Develop the financial reporting, finance systems and IT systems in conjunction with the business unit;
16. Other finance tasks as required by the directors and general manager’s.
Experience & skills required:
1. University degree;
2. Proficient with Sage;
3. Experience with monthly reporting within a tight reporting timetable;
4. Good written and oral communication;
5. Working towards an accountancy qualification or qualified accountant preferred but not essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £48,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
