Salary: £24,000 to £27,000 (dependent on experience)

agendaNi, Northern Ireland’s leading public policy and business magazine, is seeking a Journalist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to write for a respected publication that informs policymakers, business leaders, and key stakeholders in Northern Ireland.
To be considered, candidates must have:
1. A formal journalism qualification OR Recent journalism experience and strong news judgment, with the ability to work calmly under pressure
2. A track record in delivering original journalism
3. The ability to produce strong analytical material under tight deadlines
4. Interview experience
5. A highly motivated, self-starting attitude
6. Strong proofreading skills and the ability to write clear, concise copy for multiple platforms
7. An understanding of how audiences consume content
8. A detailed knowledge of politics, current affairs, and public policy in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Key responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the production of original journalism and analysis.
2. Conduct in-depth interviews with senior business and policy figures.
3. Cover key developments in government, business, and policy-making.
4. Work across digital and print platforms to deliver high-quality content.
5. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all editorial work.
6. Actively contribute to editorial meetings.
7. Provide forward planning and production support.
8. Work mostly at base but on location as required.
