Description
We are currently seeking a part-time Digital Learning Developer to provide support for staff and students in the effective use of digital learning technologies at Bath Spa University.
This role will provide support for staff and students in the effective use of digital learning technologies. You will be working in a team with several other Digital Learning Developers (DLDs) who already have considerable experience of this role at BSU.
Your role will include working with the other DLDs to identify and plan for staff development needs, and to design and deliver appropriate training and support both online and in-person.
(This is a part-time 0.8 role)
About the Role
As our Digital Learning Developer, you will develop and deliver training, workshops, and online resources for tools such as Ultra, Panopto, MS365, and Adobe CC.
By analysing feedback and collaborating with key stakeholders, you will identify digital learning needs and promote best practices in technology-enhanced education.
The role also involves contributing to Learning Innovation & Skills, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of digital pedagogy, and ensuring a high standard of customer service.
About You
You will have a degree or equivalent experience and a strong background in web-based learning environments (e.g., Blackboard, Turnitin) and Microsoft 365. You will have experience delivering IT training to diverse users, excellent ICT and communication skills, and the ability to support digital learning within the academic experience.
A proactive team player, you will liaise with technical and non-technical colleagues, provide outstanding customer service, and bring a positive, analytical approach to problem-solving and innovation. You will have a keen interest in and front-end user experience of various digital tools, and the confidence to quickly learn about tools and environments that are new to you.

* The post-holder may be required to contribute to a rota of evening and/or weekend duties during term-time.
