We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Convenience Retail Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail operations, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage a team while ensuring the store runs smoothly. As a Convenience Retail Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, leading staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Placing orders and creating and managing promotional cycles.
2. Supervise, lead, and motivate a team of retail staff to ensure smooth store operations.
3. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and ensuring a welcoming store environment.
4. Monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and maintain product displays to ensure optimal availability and presentation.
5. Train and develop new and existing staff members to ensure they understand store policies, procedures, and best practices.
6. Ensure store cleanliness and organization to maintain a positive shopping experience.
7. Handle cash register operations, including processing sales, handling cash, and ensuring accurate financial transactions.
8. Assist with scheduling and delegating tasks to team members based on store needs.
9. Enforce company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, loss prevention, and compliance with local regulations.
10. Manage opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store is secure and ready for operation.
11. Address any operational issues or concerns promptly and escalate as necessary to management.
12. Support the Store Manager with daily reports, sales goals, and inventory management.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in retail, preferably in a convenience store or similar environment.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
5. Basic math skills and experience handling cash or POS systems.
6. Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
7. Ability to lift and carry stock (up to [insert weight] lbs) and stand for extended periods of time.
8. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with inventory management and merchandising.
2. Previous supervisory experience in a retail environment.
