JOB TITLE: Janitor
LOCATION: Thistles Shopping Centre, Stirling
HOURS: 40 hours per week
PAY RATE: £ PER HOUR
WORKING HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK
SHIFT PATTERN: 5 over 7
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
We are looking to appoint a proactive Janitor to maintain a clean and safe shopping environment for all our customers and staff. This is a permanent contract covering holidays with advanced notification of shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
10. Waste management in line with on-site process and achieve recycling targets
11. Use of on-site equipment including ride on scrubber drier, buffer and carpet cleaner
12. Driving and operating company machinery including scrubber drier and walk behind scrubber
13. Maintain the cleanliness of the centre
14. Maintain the cleanliness within the service yards and areas
15. Assist client and retailers with the removal of items requiring disposal
16. Take an active role in emergency situations including Fire Warden tasks
17. Work with on site and ad hoc contractors, maintaining a professional and courteous manner
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
18. Enjoy working as part of a team as well as the ability to work independently to reach the shared goal
19. Excellent time management
20. Smart and well presented
21. High level of customer care awareness
22. Driving license required
Requirements
23. Prior experience as a janitor or in a similar role is preferred
24. Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment
25. Ability to work independently and follow instructions
26. Good communication skills and a positive attitude
