Customer Services Assistant
Location: Telford
Type: Permanent
Salary: £25,500 rising to £26,500 after probation
Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm (40 hours a week) + 25 days holiday + BH
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer in Telford. In this permanent role, you will work in a small team with the main purpose of handling customer requirements and establishing the obtainment of orders. You will work closely with a senior customer service agent to answer queries, ensure all orders received are entered into the system, and provide customers with information related to their orders.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Maximise all sales opportunities by promoting the highest standard of customer care
2. Receive and process all telephone, fax, email, and EDI orders
3. Process manual credits
4. Deliver order acknowledgements ensuring correct prices, part numbers, and realistic delivery dates
5. Maintain and develop customer and consumer records/profiles including recording information
6. Provide technical support to consumers/customers upon breakdown of equipment
7. Support service providers
8. Maintain the CSM system
9. Coordinate customer returns and stock discrepancies
10. Complete new line forms for external sales
11. Handle customer and consumer complaints
12. Attentively and courteously handle all customer enquiries
13. Confirm stock availability when required
14. Provide internal support for sales & marketing
15. Carry out any reasonable task requested by management
16. Extract data from UK sales and submit electrical waste information
17. Provide administrative support to the sales and marketing team
18. Conduct off-site visits to customers/trade shows/exhibitions and service providers
19. Perform administrative duties on customer portals
20. Manage sales return orders/obtain supporting documents
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you must demonstrate strong communication skills, possess high attention to detail, and have previous experience in a high-volume customer service role. You will need to spot opportunities to recommend additional or alternative products while speaking with customers. Excellent data entry skills and the ability to use initiative and maintain a flexible approach to work are essential. Strong IT skills are also required.
