A Primary School in Haringey is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with challenging behaviour. The pupil can sometimes display physical behaviour, so this role requires a confident and calm individual who can manage these challenges effectively.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Role Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with behavioural needs.
Implement behaviour management strategies to support the pupil's engagement and learning.
Assist the class teacher in creating a structured and positive learning environment.
Work closely with the SENCO, parents, and other staff to ensure the pupil's well-being.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
Confidence in managing behaviour in a calm and supportive manner.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one through Reeson Education.
