Key responsibilities include driving vehicles, ranging from 16 to 52-seater buses, to and from various sites within and outside the borough as required. Drivers support clients with complex needs and disabilities, ensuring they are transported safely to schools, day centres, and other destinations.
Additional responsibilities include conducting routine vehicle maintenance checks, ensuring cleanliness, and verifying that all relevant equipment is in proper working order. Drivers are also tasked with maintaining and updating data logs as necessary and planning and mapping out daily journey routes according to the schedule.
The role primarily involves working in an outdoor environment, driving throughout the London Borough of Camden.
Essential Requirements:
A full, valid driving licence (Category D/PCV) with no more than 3 penalty points.
Successful completion of Camden's Driving Assessment.
A valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC/CPC) and Tacho Card, with supporting evidence.
Certificates in Manual Handling and First Aid, to be evidenced.
